Happy Hearts Inc
As someone who has spent an extensive amount of time in and out of hospitals as a child, teen and now adult, I have had a rollercoaster of experiences, mentally and physically.
One thing that was at the centre of each visit, especially as a child, was 'Fear'. Fear of the procedure, diagnosis and the long list of medicines that followed.
Looking back, a lot has changed. I've become more aware of the procedures, the reason behind using a certain tool, and more importantly how my body works.
This topic being very close to my heart, I decided that it was time to let the children be heard and understood. Their fears, apprehensions, and questions that come with a doctor's visit.
What is Happy Hearts Inc?

Happy Hearts is a service solely focused on making doctor's visits more enjoyable, full of learning and absorbing new skills.
This service begins at the patient's home when the parent observes that their child is a bit nervous about going for a checkup.
For the Parent
Parents can create an account, fill in the required details and have a casual conversation with a representative to collect data about the child. This data can be useful for doctors to initiate a conversation with the child during the checkup. It can include the hobbies of the child, favourite movies, toys, games, etc.
Upon creating their account, they can access the 'Mascot Feature' where if the child needs extra care pre-checkup, they can book one. The Mascot accompanies the child from the moment they step into the hospital till the meeting with the doctor.
After the check-up the Mascot takes the child to a reward station in the hospital where the child can play games to collect their reward, or just pick them up. Kids earn bravery points and badges awarded by the doctor, and parents can keep a track of their prescriptions and appointments on the app (app created on Figma).
Pre-Checkup Counselling

If the child is extremely nervous before the checkup and wants to know more about the procedure they are about to undergo, parents can opt for a Pre-Checkup Counselling Session.
The counsellors are certified, safe and reliable. They can provide relief for the child as well as the parents, if in any case a parent also has questions and apprehensions.
For Doctors
A website, separate from the hospital portal has been created. This has the data collected from the initial phone call that the parent has with the representative, regarding the quirks and hobbies of the child, along with the procedure that they have come in for.
