SoleSupply.in

A business design project, identifying a business, its value proposition, issues faced, and developing innovative solutions through research, market study and prototyping.

SoleSupply.in is a Nagpur-based online (Instagram) sneaker re-selling business. A young venture of 2 years, their vision is to be one of India's leading sneaker re-sellers and streetwear store

Identifying the framework of the business through discussions with its owner.

Problems Identified

Brand Authenticity

Awareness of Sneakers + Culture

Secondary Research Phase

Thorough research of the market statistics, laws (if any), trends, existing projects & innovations in the sector.

Studying the playing field, Competition

Identifying the direct competitors, and a benchmark. Looking closely to see what the unique aspects of each are (pricing, delivery, packaging)

'What the people have to say!'

Interviews with stakeholders to understand their perspective on sneaker culture and the trend that has taken the country by storm.

Collecting responses from different interviews and finding common points.

Reaching a wider audience through forms.

Ideating By brainstorming, and discussing with fellow designers, and users we come together to ideate fresh solutions to elevate the experience of purchasing a sneaker from an online re-seller.

Plotting ideas to see it's impact on the Business & User

Creating Concepts & Protoypes

Concepts are based on ideas, which are relevant to the problems found in the business, and to the future goals that the business wants to achieve. Prototypes show a tangible example of how the solutions can be used in the business.

Concept 1

A complete rebranding of the business.

Concept 2

Creating a new unboxing experience.

a. As a first-time buyer, you can opt for a red carpet at home to strut your new kicks.

b. Since the sneaker boxes are just as "hot commodity" as the kicks are, you can convert your box into a shoe stand to show them off when you have people over.

It comes with a panel to store your sneaker accessories and cleaning supplies.

Concept 3

A Social Media handbook for the business owner, detailing the tools and brand identity to use in order to have more visitors and engagement on the page. Hence growing his community and awareness

Concept 4

To tackle the authenticity and awareness issue together in 1 solution, we have used the business owner as the face of the brand.

Using the 'Reels' feature on Instagram we came up with 2 ways to solve the problem.

1. Frequently Asked Questions (about sneakers, product maintenance)

2. Important Announcements (made by the owner himself)
